Recertification

Recertification is for companies that already have their management systems certified and have come to the end of their 3 year certification cycle.
 
Reviewing quotes from different registrars at the end of your certification cycle ensures that you have the best possible registrar before engaging your company in another 3 year certification cycle.
 
Most registrars will accept the validity of your certificate as long as it was issued by an accredited registrar.
 
This means that your new quotes can include a reduced number of man-days since your system has already been certified. The reduction in man-days can be as much as 30%!
 
Registrars will submit a quote for a Recertification Audit which consists of 2/3 the time of the initial certification audit and usually does not require a system design review.
 
Your new registrar will most likely ask for a copy of your certificate and the last report issued in order to start the recertification process.
 
Considering that you are already certified, there are no additional costs or interruptions in your certification when you change registrars.
